"RESTORING YOUR BODY"

WHAT THE RESEARCH SAYS

Research supports the Rollaxer’s unique system allowing for progressions and regressions. Use the smaller rolls and the Rollaxer ball for higher intensities while getting quicker results.  On other more sensitive areas, use the larger more forgiving rolls for longer periods achieving the same amazing results.

Hou et al. 2002

  • Found that pressure from an object at a high intensity for a short amount of time (30 sec) or a low intensity for a longer duration (90 sec) significantly reduced pain and trigger point sensitivity.

Research also supports using the Rollaxer at as a home self-care program which will effectively reduce neck and back trigger point pain.

Hanten et al. 2000

  • Found that pressure from an object and static stretching as a home program was significantly effective at reducing trigger point pain and sensitivity in individuals with neck and upper back pain.

Reasons to use caution

If you, or your client, has the following use caution and consult a physician:

Take caution or avoid if you, or your client has, congestive heart failure, kidney failure and/or any organ failure such as liver , pancreas, etc., bleeding disorders, and contagious skin conditions.

If a client has cancer, consult with the physician before using foam roll

  • sometimes pressure/tension can damage tissue that is fragile from chemotherapy or radiation treatments.

For people/clients with varicose or spider veins: Avoid rolling on top of them.  You may roll around them..
